January 12 becomes a landmark in the history of the High-Performance Center of Canoe and Rowing of Pocinho (CAR) with the signing of the partnership agreement between the various entities that make up the Local Management Commission (CGL).
In the facilities of the CAR were the representatives of each of the partner entities, namely Gustavo Duarte, Mayor of Vila Nova de Foz Côa; Manuel Barros, Northern Regional Director of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth; Luís Teixeira, President of the Portuguese Rowing Federation; Vítor Félix, President of the Portuguese Canoeing Federation; António José da Rocha Silva, Vice-Rector of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro - UTAD; and Lelo Rodrigues, Director of the Health Center of Vila Nova de Foz Côa.
The purpose of this partnership agreement is to define the contribution of each of the partners in the development of the CAR in order to enhance it as one of the sporting units of excellence for the preparation of high-level athletes.
